A little over 6 years ago, we took a leap of faith and brought our 2 daughters (from a school in Barnawa), to be cared for by Mrs Gee and her team at the Kindle School. Looking back now, our confidence in the action we took has been reinforced by the dramatic improvements recorded in our kids performance after a few weeks of the change in school to Kindle. What struck us about the school was the commitment by the staff towards tackling each child's frailties and helping them to overcome the deficiency. The low number of pupils per class in my opinion, has helped greatly in that regard. An improvement that readily comes to mind is the miraculous transformation of my daughter whose dread for Maths was second to none. Now, she claims that Mathematics is her favourite subject and doing Maths is EASY-PEASY! Thank you, Kindle School! Apart from the regular academic exploits, the school has excelled in extra curricula activities especially in sports, ballet, ICT & music laboratories. This is helping to mold a complete final package. My prayer for the school is for it to actualize its expansion plans in order for it to start a secondary school due to the fact that we were in a quandary after our daughter graduated from Primary School and had to move to a different school for her secondary education. I am proud to say that my daughter blended immediately in her new secondary school in spite of the high standards they too inculcate in their students. I always speak about Kindle School with great affection and appreciation, wherever I go. When I brought my son Jason two years ago from another school in Kaduna, he was very insecure academically. He was always crying whenever he was unsure of anything. His confidence was at it's lowest. But when we finally decided to move him to Kindle School, (his sisters had been there for a year and were doing great!) things took a sharp turn for the better. One year down the line, Jason could speak passionately about the "Roman Empire", he could tell you, "Daddy, don't worry I can do this homework on my own". Mathematics homework o! To cap it, Jason was Co - Anchor for the last Kindle Christmas Production! My Jason...... and he did exceptionally well in front of a large crowd. Such a transformation in just over a year. That's astounding! I attribute it all to the family atmosphere at Kindle School. Everyone feels concerned and responsible for the overall development of each child, individually: From Mrs G, Mr Ocheme, Mr Charles at the admin, the teachers, caregivers. Everyone approaches you and speaks about your child with love and care, whether he is in their class or not. I have never experienced that before. And this is reflected on how Kindle Kids carry themselves, as princes and princesses. I can't praise the efforts of the Kindle family enough. What you do is amazing. We met Mrs. G while making enquirers about a property in the Estate where the Kindle School is sited. Her diction and pronunciation captivated my husband and I. We concluded that if the proprietress of a School spoke this well then she’ll be able is impact her staff and students to do same. But we soon discovered that her eloquence was just a tip of the iceberg. During the summer holiday that year we decided to enrolled our son Eniabitobi; and our daughter Eniabifoluwa; for the summer holiday classes. By the end of the 3 week period I was surprised to receive a comprehensive assessment report. What struck me more was that within such short time they were able to identify our children’s unique character traits in details. This led to our conclusion on moving our daughter to Kindle to start the nursery class, her brother later joined her the following session. Though the structure of The Kindle school, didn’t look as beautiful as other choices, I soon discovered it had a wonderful ambience internally, a supportive learning environment, with patient and creative teachers who have passion for teaching children. One special skill we enjoyed as parents was that the staff understood the diversity in the background of each child and ensured they varied their learning style to suit their needs. Their curriculum worked excellently for my kids. My daughter used to be very timid and couldn’t express herself, but class activities like weekend news on Mondays, Show and tell on Fridays and circle time gradually moulded her. By the end of her 1st year in Kindle School, she had become confident, bold and friendly that she could engage her mates and even adults in a conversation. Speaking with the exceptional diction for her age. Still speaking of the impact of the early years curriculum, the jolly phonics system accelerated Eniabifoluwa’s ability to pronounce words properly and read early. These foundation has helped her even till now. My son joined the Kindle school in year 3, while at his previous school he couldn’t do his homework without assistance, didn’t find reading interesting and also had a terrible handwriting. But I noticed a great change in his character and academic performance within the 1st year. He also became a voracious reader through the simple technique of reading 10 pages a day to us as parents we had to sign a reading record book as a confirmation.
